Come join the pack and GearUP for a wheeling good tour! It's RideUNITED, a new regional, one-day roundtrip bicycle tour Sunday, June 5. RideUNITED is a fully supported ride traversing the Scenic Byways and Towpath trail from Cleveland to Akron designed for every cyclist, embracing all ages and levels. Registration is now open for individuals, students, families and corporate teams for the inaugural bike tour!
What makes RideUNITED unique?
The route! Cyclists will tour such areas as Tremont, Steelyard Commons and the fantastic Scenic Byways and Towpath Trail, with its amazing flora, covered bridges, canal scenes and sights such as Indian Mound, Beaver Marsh, Blue Heron Falls and Horseshoe Pond. All routes will begin at Cleveland State University and participants can choose from 12, 25, 43, 86 or 100 mile route options beginning at 7:30 am with a pulse start. There also is a family ride option of 4 miles through downtown Cleveland from Cleveland State University to the Great Lakes Science Center, where activities for kids are planned, starting at 10:00 am.
How do I get involved?
Register now at rideunited.org and select your route and fundraising goal! Individual registration is $15 with a $50 minimum fundraising requirement and student registration is $15 with a $20 minimum fundraising requirement. Families of four living in the same household and all over age 12 can register for $50 and need to raise $100. Families interested in the family ride to Great Lakes Science Center pay $60 with no fundraising requirement. All proceeds from RideUNITED will benefit United Way of Greater Cleveland and United Way of Summit County.
