Blessing of the Bikes

We're not saying things aren't safe on the road or that ODOT can't create a safe route for you to travel, but if you are so inclined, join others at the "Blessing of the Bikes at St. Mary's Church in Cleveland's North Collinwood neighborhood, after the 10:00 am mass (approximately 11:00-11:30).  Father Kumse (himself a cyclist) will host this blessing, one of the inaugural events for the parish cycling club.   Afterwards, stay for breakfast, featuring palichinka (crepe), homemade sausage and egg breakfast.  The breakfast runs from 9:00 am to noon.  In addition to getting your bike a spiritual form of insurance, you can learn about the church and its riding activities, including a Memorial Day Ride.  For more information, contact Marty Marsic (440 460 0682) or Frazier Hamilton (216 481 0464).  Insert carbo-loading jokes here.
