Join us for a guided bicycle tour of two of Cleveland most exciting neighborhoods!

As part of Cleveland Bicycle Week, Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. and the Campus District Inc. will be giving a free bicycle tour of the Central and Campus District neighborhoods on Tuesday, May 18 from 6 to 7:30pm.

Considered the "eastern bookend of downtown," the Campus District is an expansive 500-acre area that is home to some of the region's most renowned institutions, including Cleveland State University, Cuyahoga Community College, and St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.

Cleveland’s historic Central neighborhood is one of Northeast Ohio’s best-kept secrets. Located at the southeast edge of Downtown Cleveland, this community is experiencing a dramatic revival that began nearly two decades ago and actively continues today. Several hundred newly constructed single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums have taken root in Central, and families have flocked to the community en masse to reap these exciting living opportunities. Other major investments that have occurred in Central in recent years include new places for shopping and services, improved schools, renovated parks and recreation spaces, and upgraded streets and infrastructure.

The tour will emphasize redevelopment activity that has occurred in both communities in recent years, as well as major revitalization projects currently being planned and on the horizon in each.

Participants will meet at the Downtown Cleveland YMCA at 2200 Prospect Avenue, and the Y will host the group for healthy snacks following the tour.  Secure parking will be provided free, but attendees must contact Jeffrey Sugalski at (216) 341-1455 or email jsugalski [at] bbcdevelopment [dot] org to request a parking pass to the YMCA's lot for the evening.

All attendees must bring their own bicycles and are required to wear helmets to take part in the tour.

Confirm your attendance at the event's Facebook page here.

I would like to register for this event.  I cannot wait to see these neighborhoods as a cyclist.
