Bike To Work training for employees/groups
In preparation for Cleveland Bicycle Week, the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op is offeings a special discount on a short program (suitable for a lunchtime or evening presentation) for corporations or other groups who want to encourage their employees or members to participate in Bike to Work Day. A 1/2 to 2 hour program that covers a mechanical bike safety check, basic principals of riding in traffic, and strategies for getting to work enjoyably (and on time!) will be presented by a League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructor for groups of any size, for $50 (regularly $200), at any time not already occupied on our calendar by calling OCBC at 216 830 2667 or emailing Education [at] OhioCityCycles [dot] org.
For employers, there is a bicycle commuter tax credit that can pay for this program. If you can't schedule a presentation, but still want to encourage safe cycling, please pass on this link to our short, on-line, bike safety quiz for anyone to learn some of the basic principles involved.
